05/08/2006: "So I'm 24 now..."

As of Saturday, I'm suddenly a year older than I was on Friday. Hooray. Or something. I don't know if I'm getting miserable in my old age, but I didn't really feel like doing much. We went into Nottingham on Saturday and wandered round the shops for a bit, and Sarah bought me a pair of G2 Finesse diabolos. We were going to go and find a park to play in but it started pouring down so we went home, and from there on we didn't really do much for the rest of the weekend.

I was going to write quite a positive post about things I want to do over the next year. But I didn't get round to it over the weekend and now I'm at work with a headache. So it will have to wait.

Instead I will just sit here and fume about the gallons and gallons of diesel liberally spread across all 12 miles of my route to work. How hard can it be to design a fuel tank that doesn't leak/can't be overfilled?

Finesses are purrrrrdy. I want some but I suck at diabolo too much to justify it smile My current new thing is hats.

I always used to use jumbo harlequins when I was at uni, cos that's what the juggling club had, and I quite liked the weight. I very nearly got two of those instead.

In the end I decided I liked the single flourescent colours and the possibility of putting lights on them. I've got used to lighter diabolos anyway having spent most of last summer playing with a cheap Henry's (?) Beach diabolo.
