Mutilation

Finding this line in a news story is quite strange...

...and police officers attended the actual mutilation process.

You look a lot fitter on your myspace picture

Soundtrack: Beans on Toast!

This is going to be a bit of a random (and long) post, but hey, I'm home alone with nothing better to do.

Firstly, as Sarah decided to point out, we've decided we're going to get married some time next year. Which is pretty damn awesome. Enough said.

The week of fun is well and truly underway. We went to the MotoGP on Sunday and lounged around in the sun watching Mr. V Rossi work his magic. Dani Pedrosa - don't kid yourself, the whole place was cheering for the guy in second place! Had a bit of an adventure on the way back as Sarah's bike decided to spit its coolant over the road (turns out the fan has seized) and I managed to run out of fuel about 500m from home.

Last night we took a trip to the Old Angel Inn in Nottingham to see Frank Turner. The room it was in was a complete sweatbox to the point where quite a few of us were sat on the floor in front of the stage while he played. Top show. Check him out. NOW. No really.

I'm currently sat here on my own because Sarah et al have gone to Derby to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers play at Pride Park (Derby County(?) footy ground), so I'm listening to some bloke called Beans on Toast. Mr Turner covered one of his songs ('Junk Food Sex') last night and his other stuff is pretty cool as well. Check him out as well.

Just noticed on BBC News that France have beaten Portugal. Now anyone who knows me knows I couldn't give a toss about the World Cup or watching football in general, but I've got France in the office sweepstake, so it's quite funny to be lasting longer than all the people who do care.

Right then. I'm off to pick up Sarah's acoustic guitar and pretend I can play.
